Arranging a Doctor's Appointment via Zoom®

 

Selecting an online appointment

• First, go to the online booking page

• Choose a free time slot for your Zoom call.

• Confirm your booking as you would with any other service.

Booking Confirmation Email

• Immediately after booking, you will receive an automatic confirmation email from the online booking system (Appointlet), confirming that your appointment has been successfully scheduled and is binding.

​

• Important: This email already contains the Zoom link for your consultation!

​​

Using the Zoom Link

• Please keep the email with the Zoom link safe, as you will need it to join the appointment.

​

• If you can no longer find the link, please send me an email in advance, so I can resend the Zoom link to you.

Procedure of the Medical Consultation via Zoom®

 

Joining the Appointment

• At the scheduled time, click on the Zoom link in your email. Please be on time and have your documents ready.

• If Zoom is already installed on your device, the program will start automatically, i.f you do not have a Zoom account, you can select "Join via Browser" instead.

​​

• Alternatively, you can download and use the Zoom app – in this case, you will need to create a free account.

 

Virtual Waiting Room

• After clicking the link, you will enter the waiting room. You will see the message: "Please wait until the host lets you in."

​​

• If my previous appointment is still ongoing, there may be a short waiting time – please be patient, as I may still be finishing the prior consultation.

​​

Easy to handly minor technicalities: Activating Camera and Microphone

• If Zoom asks for permission to access your camera and microphone, please click "Allow".​If you have sound issues, check the bottom left corner in Zoom to ensure your microphone is turned on.

​​

• If you experience technical problems, or if the Zoom link does not work, please send me an SMS or WhatsApp message at +436509670025.

• We will handle this smoothly together.

 

Start of the Medical Consultation

 

• Once I am available, the virtual door to my office opens, and I welcome you into our Zoom meeting with a smile. Everything proceeds just as you know it – or, if this is your first time, just as you would expect from an in-person consultation.

​​

• We always begin by discussing your medical history (anamnesis), your current symptoms, and any relevant medical records.

​​

• Next, we talk about your expectations for the treatment, and I present you with the best possible therapy options, always tailored to your individual situation. We also discuss the further course of action for your treatment.

​​

• At the end of the consultation, it is important to me that you feel well-informed and understood. If you still have any open questions, you are always welcome to ask them. Together, we will clarify everything so that you leave the consultation with a clear plan.

 

Important Information on Appointment Cancellations

 

I am sure you understand that reliable appointment scheduling is important for everyone. The online consultation is equivalent to an in-person visit and is therefore charged at the same rates as an in-office appointment.

 

Billing is based on the effort involved, just like a regular medical visit.

 

If you cannot attend the appointment, please cancel at least 78 hours in advance. Otherwise, I will have to charge you for the appointment – out of fairness to other patients who might otherwise have had to wait longer. It is their time, as they urgently need a consultation, and of course, it is also my time.
